Our Appetite Is Growing
Appetite Catering Dublin’s journey began with it’s original inception as “Free From” in 2013.
Free From was established by 2 Irish foodie cousins with a passion for healthy, home made and delicious salad options for farmer’s markets throughout south Dublin. Marley park & the canal markets are where we cut our teeth and honed our skills as salad specialists.
Appetite for Free From’s offerings grew and evolved into catering at large music & food festivals, corporate events & executive meetings for Google, AirBnb, Zurich, DK Partners, Blackrock Investments, Novo Nordisk, Happenings and more.
In 2016, Free From evolved to become Appetite Catering Dublin, maintaining Free From’s healthy and balanced ethos whilst also adding more indulgent options for special occasions.
How We Work
We create all our dishes to order and from scratch. There’s no shortcuts taken as we know the best food is freshly made the same day it’s due to be enjoyed.
All of our food arrives freshly made, hot or cold as appropriate and presented in bain maries, bowls, plates and platters. Bain maries will keep our hot dishes at the correct temperature for as long as required.
Our Values
Our owner and lead chef Sophie, combines Ballymaloe’s values of focusing on local and seasonal Irish produce with her experience of working in professional kitchens, farmers markets, food and music festivals and catering corporate events and executive meetings.
Sophie specialises in hot & cold buffets, salads, hot pots including curries & stews and a great variety of desserts.
